In the celebration, participants could experience traditional Korean Lunar New Year’s Day culture, including wearing a Hank-bok, Korean traditional clothes, and bowing for New Years. Those activities were prepared to promote friendship among foreign members, who are apart from hometown for long period, and give them an opportunity to learn Lunar New Year’s Day culture and Korean culture.
After the celebration, Antii Kulppi, an exchange student from Chile, said he had been so excited since the time he was invited to the celebration that encouraged his friends to join together. He was very pleased with the experience to learn about Korean New Year’s Day customs, which are completely different from those in Chile.
