Cyber lab is a cyber environment for research and education, supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It allows domestic and foreign universities’ laboratories to share high quality education in real-time remotely. Dongnam Institution of Radiological and Medical Sciences, which completed the construction of Cyber lab, said “Because now it’s possible to transfer a huge amount of data, real-time lecture and teleconference, tele-researching through high resolution screen are possible. Accordingly, globally run researches and educational cooperation are expected.?
Nowadays, eighty countries are connected through the cyber lab system. There are eleven educational institutions in Korea, including POSTECH, Seoul National University, Korea University, KAIST, and Seoul Municipal Boramae Hospital.
In this lecture, the speech of Prof. Shoji Shuichi of Waweda University in Japan was broadcasted live on the Cyber lab system. Prof. Shuichi lectured about “D Micro/Nano PDMS Devices and Systems for Chemistry and Bio-chemistry.”Concretely, he explained five contents including High Throughput Chemical Analysis and Synthesis Micro Flow Systems, Microfluidic Alignment System for Single Cell Manipulation and Culture. Then, Prof. Chang Suik of Chungbuk National University lectured about the latest research of Biomedical Microelectromechanical Systems.
