The 2010 Pohang joint festival of universities, ‘Color Light Joy’ was held on Oct. 9 at Sunlin University. It was organized by the student unions of POSTECH, Sunlin University, and Handong University from 2 PM to 11 PM, with the support of Pohang city.

Various activities including club booths, stage performances, and official events took place in the main stadium from 2 PM to 11 PM. On one side, admission counseling corners of each university were opened.

Many clubs of POSTECH joined the festival and visitors were fascinated by their unique and brilliant expositions. The president of Power On, a club developing robots, Son Young-bin (CSE) said, “Joining the festival is a good chance to promote friendship and show what we have done.”

The festival consisted of corners that are rarely seen in POSTECH. For example, Sunlin University prepared nail art, tattoo designs, and face paintings and exchange students of Handong University from Mongolia opened their booth of selling Mongolian foods. Ms. Baigalmaa (21) said, “It’s a good place to exchange our experiences with two other universities.”

The Pohang joint festival of universities, formerly called ‘Passion of Pohang’ (POP), was first held in 2007.
