The first POSTECH International Symposium on Bio-imaging was held at POSCO International Center, from Sep. 29 to Sep. 30. It was organized by POSTECH’s Division of Integrative Bioscience and Biotechnology (IBB) and supported by POSTECH Basic Science Research Institute and Division of Mechanical Engineering for Emerging Technology. About 150 participants attended, including graduate students and professors from POSTECH, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul National University, Korea Research Institute of Standard and Science and other renowned foreign universities. Throughout the symposium, international and domestic scientists presented the outcomes of their imaging research to fellow researchers in order to share ideas and promote more cooperation. In addition, it was also great experience for graduate and postdoctoral students to obtain more information regarding their fields and an opportunity to get to know more seniors.
