POSTECH Course for Civilization Citizens will be inaugurated in March 2019. It was arranged to broaden the humanities of Pohang citizens and POSTECH members by providing high-quality lectures. The theme of the first semester of the course, which starts on March 7 and offers seven lectures every other Thursday until the end of May. has been planned as “I am a writer.” In the sense that the general public has the potential to become a writer, lectures are given on the connection between major and writing, and the meaning of writing. They were also composed of prominent writers. Six lecturers, including novelist Kim hoon, professor Kim Sang-wook known as a scientist who communicated with the public, Seung Hyo-sang, chairman of the Presidential Commission on Architecture Policy, professor Min Eun-gi who publish classical music introductory book for the public, cartoonist Yoon Tae-ho, and Song Ho-keun, chair-professor of POSTECH, will each give lectures on literature, science, music architecture, webtoon, and column. 
Professor Song Ho-keun said, “We will try to strengthen the process of discussing and reflecting on the citizenry through this course so that we can establish it as a representative class for Pohang citizens.”
