Professor Jin Won Lee (ME) was awarded the grand prize in the Steel Technology Solution Contest, which was hosted by The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials and sponsored by POSCO.
Prof. Lee was awarded for research on ‘Ultra High Performance Spray Tower for CO2 Collection,’ a new technology that can reduce the cost of collection by half of established technology. Since reducing the cost of collection was the key to the commercialization of CO2 collection, the research is expected to highly contribute to commercialization.
Prof. Lee was appointed as a professor in POSTECH along with the foundation of POSTECH in 1987, and received attention for being awarded in various contests by inventing an innovative air exhauster, vortex vent, and nano contamination cleansing technique.
