POSTECH and Daegu Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation (DGMIF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 9. An MOU is an agreement that includes the basic understandings of both sides before starting to trade. Therefore, it uses expressions that have no binding force. This MOU is about plans on research and development businesses and on the development of new pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Both parties have agreed to share their research facilities and will be involved when it comes to developing new pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Through POSTECH’s Summer Experience in Society (SES) they are planning to share knowledge and workforce.
The two institutions hope to develop basic research on life science and fields of new medicines and medical treatment.
