He was recognized for performing innovative and creative research and pioneering a new area in spite of his youth. Professor Yeom has positioned himself as the world’s greatest scholar in the field of atomic line, managing the first atomic line research organization in the world.
The In-chon Prize is a prize awarded to four people who contribute highly in the field of education, culture, liberal arts, and science each year. The prize was established in 1987 to celebrate “Inchon” Kim Sungsoo, a Korean nationalist entrepreneur.
The prize will be awarded in Lotte Hotel Seoul on Oct. 11, along with a medal and monetary award.
