From May 18 to 20, the only festival in POSTECH, Sunrise Festival, was held. This year, the festival preparing organization prepared the festival with the theme ‘Fest 101,’ focusing on the basics of festivals: things to do, things to see, and things to taste. During the festival, freshmen belonging to several departments danced on stage, sophomores managed bars, and upperclassmen enjoyed the festival in various ways.
On the first day, President Doh-Yeon Kim appeared on stage. He said “This festival would be the place for relieving the stresses from studying. Let’s take off our ties and enjoy the festival.” Also, students of Korea National University of Arts played songs for the festival. On the second day, the singer Ailee performed. To see the performance, Pohang citizens and students came to POSTECH, so the stage became a harmonized place. Responding to the president’s wish, Postechians enjoyed the stage and the festival.
