Recently, POSTECH and Sookmyung Women’s University had a comprehensive scholarship exchange agreement and have agreed to operate convergence education programs. By combining POSTECH’s leading research capabilities and humanities, the strength of Sookmyung Women’s University, new research areas and convergence academics are expected.
Under the agreement, the two universities will exchange credits, co-develop and implement new curriculums, and cooperate in reserach. POSTECH will deliver its secret of becoming one of the most prestigious unviersities in Korea before its 30th  anniversary and will assist the establishment of the college of engineering.
Through an academic exchange with POSTECH, Sookmyung Women’s University has implemented an interdisciplinary convergence course and established a new area in its liberal arts and is operating various convergence education programs. In the next academic year, Sookmyung Women’s University will establish a college of engineering and will extend its interdisciplinary education by adding an engineering track. The university will select students who are taking the humanities and social science  track and is aiming to foster amalgmamtive capabilities by teaching them computer technologies.
