Since 2012, POSTECH’s student dormitories have been remodeled. The remodeling of the rooms in buildings 1-6 and 8 has been completed. The purposes of the remodeling are to make the environment of the dormitory cleaner, reinforce the security system, etc. The latest remodeling took place in buildings 6 and 8. It started on June 22, which was the first day of the summer session. In order to ease students’ inconvenience, building 20 was used for students registered for the summer session. 
From Aug. 28 to Nov. 30, POSTECH is remodeling rooms in building 11. The remodeling of rooms in the remaining buildings, 7 and 9, will start this winter vacation. Unlike summer vacation, dormitory building 20 will not be used. It will, however, be open again to students who register for the summer session next summer.
During remodeling in building 11, the road in front of it has become narrow. Also, many bicycles and motorcycles were moved to another site so they would not be in the way.
