Greeting World Brain Awareness Week, the POSTECH Brain Research Center and Korean Brain Society held the lecture “Fusion of Brain and Creation of Future” in POSTECH’s Biotech Center on Mar. 13 for public including middle school and high school students. Specifically, Professor Park Sang Ki (LIFE), Prof. Han Soo Hee (CiTE), and Prof. Kim Ki Hean (ME) explained diseases of the brain and mind, optimization basis on artificial intelligence, and brain research through the application of light.
World Brain Awareness Week was established in 1992 to increase understanding of brain science research among public. It is an international campaign carried out in the third week of March. Domestically, 14 universities and hospitals held events focused on the subject “Brain; universe in my mind” from Mar. 13 - 21. These events were organized to generate interest in brain science and motivate the students to enter the field  as future fusion science.
