Professor Chan-Un Park (CE) will be awarded the 2014 LG Chemicals Researcher Award sponsored by the Polymer Society of Korea. The LG Chemicals Researcher Award was founded in 2013 and is given to those who have outstanding research papers in the field of synthetic polymer, polymer science, and engineering. The Polymer Society of Korea had a spring meeting on Apr. 10 in the Daejeon Convention Center, at which Prof. Park was presented the award. Prof. Park, who received his Ph. D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is one of the greatest scholars in organic electronics. His laboratory focuses on various fields of organic electronics like field-effect transistors (FET), organic light emitting diodes (OLED), and organic photovoltaics (OPV). His research team has published 250 research papers, including overseas research, and 191 of them have qualified for SCI. Furthermore, the research paper in the journal Advanced Functional Materials in 2005 was quoted over 200 times. He is clearly recognized as a frontier in his field.
