POSTECH’s Department of Chemical Engineering (CE) and Industrial and Management Engineering Departments (IME) were once again ranked highest in the “2012 National University and Department Rankings” conducted by JoongAng Ilbo.
The rankings consisted of four major categories based on the university information officially announced by the respective school in 2011-2012: Education Environment, International Indicators, Competence of Professors, and Reputation. The highest rank represents the top 2.28 % among the universities with a relevant department.
Especially, POSTECH’s IME showed its strongpoint in academic parts such as citations per professors in international journals.
JoongAng Ilbo has conducted “The National University and Department Ran- kings” since 1994. This year’s evaluation examined 122 universities in Korea and presented the ranking of two major fields including natural science & engineering and humanities & social sciences.
