The Graduate School of Engineering Mastership (GEM), which is the one and on-ly graduate school specialized in engi-neering in Korea is searching for a way to operate along with businesses.
On Sep.13 in Seoul, Professor Suh Suk- Hwan, director of GEM, is hosting a con-ference with Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) and other local engineer-ing businesses in Seoul such as GS E&C, Korea Plant Industries Association, and Korea Electric Power Co.
In this conference, POSTECH plans to identify what kind of person the business world of engineering needs, and discuss management methods for future development.
In the meanwhile, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has officially granted permission for GEM to be established for MKE? “Engineering Business Development Plan.” On Aug. 5, 40 students were selected for admission and the school is scheduled to open in Mar. 2013.
