On Aug. 22, Professor Jong-Lam Lee (MSE), who is currently entitled as the Executive Dire- ctor in Display ㆍLED research at POSTECH, received the Mini- ster’s Commendation Award in Display Research & Development Project Group for Ministry of Knowledge Economy. This award is presented to those who promote research development in the area of display, which is believed to be a new growth engine industry. Prof. Lee has received this honorable award, as he has developed original technology in the production of ultra thin polar metal substrates, strengthening the industrial competition for information display. Through similar establishments, Prof. Lee has received the President’s KINPEX award, National Green Technology award from KOITA, and the Minister’s award for MEST.
