In the Sixth Annual Presidential Marathon held on May 9th at the POSTECH Sports Field, Jun Woo Sung (Mechanical Engineering, Ph.D. course) and Sun Hee Park (Life Science, Ph.D. course) were placed first in their respective categories.
This event, which had the aim of promoting healthy and abundant lifestyles for community members, and also of strengthening ties with local residents, gathered a total of 414 entrants including POSTECH students and general participants. The race started at 08:30 at the Sports Field, from where participants had to run a course of 10 km, passing the Main Gate, the East Gate, Jecheol Middle School and the Techno Park, from where they returned to the starting point. The event finished at 11:00.
Trophies and prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place winners. To all participants, T-shirts, food, and drinks were provided and free gifts were given after drawing lots. The list of winning contestants for each category is as follows:
