A total of 15 corporations, Dongkuk Industries, Dongkuk S&C, Dongyang E&C, Dongil Industry, Samwon Steel, Simpacmetalloy, Aerix, Unicoh Specialty Chemicals, Jeil Technos, Cheil Grinding, Chosun Refractories, Chosun Welding, TCC Steel, Hyundai Sungwoo Casting, Hyundai Welding were selected as ‘Exemplary mid-sized business in Pohang’.
‘Honorary mid-sized business in Pohang’ were selected as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of POSTECH, and announced on Nov. 29. Among the 730 company members of Pohang Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Pohang CCI), 15 companies were nominated as exemplary companies, focusing on the aspect of contribution to local society and job creation. ‘Small, but strong’ companies like POSTECH were mainly selected. POSTECH is committed to finding practical ways to cooperate with nominees for the development of local economy and R&D competitiveness improvement.
The award ceremony was conducted as part of the 30th anniversary ceremony of POSTECH on Dec. 2, and selected companies were awarded a plaque commemorating their contribution.
