A national research team, consisting of Professor Kilwon Cho (CE), Ph.D. Choi Hyun Ho (CE), Assistant Prof. Wi Hyoung Lee (Electronic Materials, KONKUK Univ.) and Assistant Professor Do Hwan Kim (Organic Materials and Fiber Engineering, Soongsil Univ.), have found a way of improving voltage stability of an organic transistor from the analysis of its optimal microstructure.
One of the most important aspects of a transistor is the length of time in which its initial electrical signal is maintained; this directly determines its potential to be commercialized. In this paper, the team treats controlling thin film and interface microstructure for voltage stability of an organic transistor and suggests its optimal microstructure. Prof. Cho highlighted that this way would bring about the commercialization of organic-based flexible displays in the near future.
This thesis was selected as the cover article of Advanced Materials, an international academic journal in the field of Material Science.
