IRO draws up monthly programs like this, choosing a special theme for each program, from dinner parties to Korean tours. Usually, specific dates for the program are not fixed, and about 30~60 students participate. Not international professors, but only international students are allowed to join. IRO says, “We are striving to let the international students understand POSTECH and Korea, forming a close friendship with each other through these programs.”
IRO has held programs like the IRO Open House (March), the POSCO Plant and Museum Tour (April), Support for the 2009 POSTECH Sunrise Festival Pub managed by DICE Students (May), Korean Movie and Pizza (June), Gyeongju Night Tour (July), etc. Programs for upcoming Oct. and Nov. are unclear because of the contagious H1N1 flu virus.
