Every single person around the world will say out loud “YES!” to the following question, “Do you find your life exhausting?” The answer to this would make one wonder why he has to go through all this trouble he has never asked for. However, the good news is that in spite of all the struggles and sufferings along the way, he is on the right track to a successful life ahead.
Facing obstacles means that one is either unafraid to make mistakes or is daring enough to challenge new things that he has attempted before. We tend to envy those with “prosperous” lifestyles with no ups-and-downs -these people opt for a source of instant pleasure only. People are drowning in stereotypical thoughts that if they do something different and challenging and accidentally make some mistakes while doing so, they have failed to achieve their goals. In other words, they will never know how to overcome obstacles. Learning to face hurdles with no fear of making mistakes obviously involves a tremendous amount of stress and a tiring lifestyle, but we must realize that what we are doing is merely preparation for something big in the future, just like soldiers in the past sharpening their swords for an upcoming battle. Everything comes at a price.
What should you do? The answer is simple: Choose what seems to be a more challenging and difficult path! In other words, choose what your lazy-self would not choose. There will always be choices one has to make in life. Obviously, an easy path where one is stress-free looks appealing to more or less everyone at that moment. But chasing and craving for non-meaningful things to satisfy one’s needs and instant pleasure will definitely make one regret his deeds in the near future; it will lead to an even harsher and more stressful life. On the other hand, if one decides to go forth in the alternate path, I assure that there will be a reward at the end of all the hurdles.
Obviously, it is easier said than done. What one needs to do is learn to overcome personal fear and realize that nothing is sweeter than the “fruit” of good results after relentless hard-work. The trial and error method, just like when solving certain mathematical problems, is the only way to succeed. One can transform the awful bitterness of “failure” into an extraordinary sweetness in the near future if one makes the right choices and perseveres.
Whenever you are stressed out with loads of work and are tired, ask yourself a simple question, “Am I living a tough life?” If you really are, proudly remind yourself that you have just made a crucial step towards success.
