POSTECH was awarded the grand prize in the university division of the 4th ‘Korea Fund·Asset
Management’. This year’s university division judging criteria was based on the decision-making system of the fund management committee, asset management system, the expansion of funds and efforts to provide information. POSTECH’s efforts to distribute investments in various assets and to verify investment performance stood out.
Unlike most universities, POSTECH only invested 53%, and diversified their investments on other products. The judges explained, “Most universities in Korea put their emphasis on stability, while lacking professionalism. They invest most of their money in fixed rate deposits. However, POSTECH’s efforts to diversify their investments in alternative investment products such as real estate and venture companies stood out.”
POSTECH also worked to inform their donors through their development fund homepage. Through uploading various content, they effectively promoted to donors. They also published newsletters to inform about their alumni projects and events using development funds as financial resources, thereby increasing the donation performance 216 percent.
