SKP-MOOC, Collaboration of Three Universities

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is an open online course intended for massive users. The courses are made up of preconfigured learning objectives. Interactive education between students and professors are available in MOOC, based on the educational environment that offers the functionality of discussions, quizzes, questions and answers, and assignment submission. After K-MOOC was launched on Oct. 2015, numerous universities opened their courses in K-MOOC. Five POSTECH professors of Chemical Engineering, four Seoul National University professors of the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and four KAIST professors of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering collaborated in making SKP-MOOC course. The lectures introduce many approaches and real applications into various fields of chemical engineering, for instance, energy, environment, biotechnology related with new materials, chemical process, synthetization, and computer simulation. Also, the course previews the professional perspectives of the future of chemical engineering. Proffessors Kang In-seok, Lee Jun-hong, Lee Jin-woo, Jeon Sang-min, and Cha Hyung-joon of POSTECH Chemical Engineering department participated in producing SKP-MOOC.
