An investigation has been held at the women’s restroom in Jigok Community Center, Students’ Union, and POSTECH Gymnasium in search for hidden cameras and wiretapping devices. Along with the start of a new semester, lots of outsiders have gone by our school. There has been a report of seeing an unidentified man leaving women’s restroom at the first floor of Jigok Community Center at 11:27 a.m., on Feb. 28. Students caught the man, but an investigation was held for two hours to search for hidden cameras and wiretaps.
The man turned out to be a physically challenged person who was reported lost after visiting Pohang St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Apparently the man came to Jigok Community Center because the place does not require card keys to get in. Then he went to the women’s restroom and was caught around 11:45 a.m.. The police came to investigate and found out the man’s son had reported him missing.
Even though the man was physically challenged, the man’s phone was checked to make sure no pictures or videos were taken and none were sent. After that, General Affairs and Safety immediately checked for hidden cameras and wiretaps and contacted outside experts to come in for a second check.
