Professor Moon Jeong Park (CHEM) received the Young Scientist Prize awarded by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning. Prof. Park researches polymer chemistry. She received her Ph.D. from  SNU and maintained her research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Since 2009, after Prof. Park came to POSTECH, she conducted research on various subjects, for instance, polymer electrolyte, the relevance between ion-channel structure and electrical conductivity, and polymer actuator. Among Prof. Park more notable work is identifying the characteristic of electrolyte membrane’s nano-structured charge transfer, and developing core technologies including high-capacity lithium battery. Prof. Park received the prize at the 2016 Korean Excellent Scientist Awards, which was held last Dec. 27.
