POSTECH Pohang Mathematics Institute (PMI) hosted the Ilju Mathematics Conference from Jan. 5 to 11 at POSTECH Mathematics Building. The conference has been held every winter with the sponsorship of Ilju Academy and Culture Foundation. The topic of the conference was “Banach Spaces and Related Topics.” The conference was followed by an open discussion, where graduate students, post doctorates, and professors could discuss freely. Professor Gilles Godefroy (Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu-Paris Rive Gauche), Professor Anna Kaminska (The University of Memphis), and Professor Indrek Zolk (University of Tartu) were invited and gave a lectures introducing the latest research subjects and relevant topics. After each lecture, Professor Han Ju Lee (Dongguk University) provided additional explanation and answered relevant questions.
