The POSTECH 2017 Customized Laboratory Safety Education was conducted on Jan. 16. It was held at POSCO International Center Conference room. Researchers in POSTECH, including undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty members, were the main targets of the education. During the education, Doctor Yeong Man Kim (Korea Association of Laboratory Safety & Environment) gave a lecture about safety risk hazard analysis and safety management, and Professor Tae-joo Park (Busan University) gave a lecture about general safety and the examples of laboratory accidents. The education lasted for two hours. All regular researchers are required by law to take at least six hours of safety education per semester, and the new researchers (undergraduates, graduate students) are required to take at least two hours.
