POSTECH Alumnus Mi-Ok Mun Gave a Special Lecture for POSTECH

 On Oct. 2, POSTECH president Doh-Yeon Kim invited Mi-Ok Mun (a member of The Minjoo Party, PHYS 87), the first POSTECH alumnus to have become a member of the National Assembly, as 4th POSTECH’s 30th anniversary celebration lecture.
She has worked in the division of science and technology Human Resource policy since 2003, and is a renowned professional in the HR development for woman in science and technologies. She currently works at Center for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET) and Center for Science Engineering Technology Cooperative as deputy chief for planning.
Congresswoman Mun delivered lecture titled as “The Future of Youth, Science and Technology,” and talked mainly about national fund for science and technologies, gender ratio of permanent employees in government funded research center, and the working environment of regular employees and temporary position workers. She emphasized the importance of youth for the future of science and technology and how social safety network will be constructed for those who start their way for the S&T. The lecture was finished by presenting her motions, including building specialized administration system for national R&D’s and recovering vice-premier for science and technology division.
