Typhoon “CHABA” hit the POSTECH

On Oct. 5, the 18th typhoon on 2016, “Chaba” hit the Korean peninsula. The typhoon caused much damage to some region including Busan, Ulsan, Jeju Island, Gyeonsang region and so on. Also, POSTECH had some damage from the typhoon.
In some buildings like dormitories and engineering building, waters leak from roof or window and some roads made people hard to walk because of much raining. Even from 11:00 a.m., traffic has been completely shut down in the area of POSTECH gym and the near the east gate, due to heavy raining. This shut down lasted for about two hours.
Also, Hyoja-dong, which is village near the POSTECH, was flooded because of the typhoon, so many vehicles and people had trouble in passing the village.
Recently, several earthquakes hit the POSTECH and this typhoon “CHABA” also gave large and small damage to POSTECH. All Postechians need to pay attention to weather forecast and know how to prepare for disasters.
