‘Future Planning for College Life’ is a compulsory Activity Based Curriculum (ABC) that every POSTECH student must take. It is mostly taken by 1st year undergraduate students. The purpose of the subject had been consistent since the beginning: to encourage students to design their university life well and cultivate mental accomplishments. However, since 2014, the teaching method of Future Planning for College Life has undergone changes every year. In 2014, the class was consisted of lectures and group projects. Once a week, students came to lectures about topics such as time management, military conscription, designing a career, etc. The lecture was delivered by Professor Jung-gi Kim (HSS). The following class was a group meeting, where a team of eight to nine students and one teaching assistant carried out group projects and presented them in front of other teams. In 2015, Future Planning for College Life was changed to consist only of lectures. The lectures were delivered by experts in various areas such as producers, historians and artists, to deliver presentations about their working philosophies and principles. The professor in charge was Professor H. In 2016, because there were several complaints among the students about its lecture time being on Saturday, the lecture was moved to Wednesday. The teaching methods did not change until Mar. 16, when the professor lecturing expressed subjective viewpoints on a highly sensitive topic and stepped down as the main professor of the course. Accor-dingly, the class has changed again into lectures where professors are assigned as a guest by Innovation Center for Education every class to deliver their opinions about the class’s topics. The first lecture of this semester, held on Mar. 23, dealt with designing one’s dream.
