For the first time in Korea, POSTECH will innovate itself to a space and time transcending lecture rooms by the implementation of MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). Joining hands with the international MOOC operating institute ‘Coursera’, POSTECH will open its lectures to the world. POSTECH will furnish support on the certificate issuing fee of MOOC lectures, including Coursera, TedX, and K-MOOC, to all of its students. Conjointly, this support also applies to faculty members and staffs, and the time spent taking MOOC courses is admissible as a job training hours. Also, a list of recommended MOOC courses of professors of POSTECH will be distributed. Students will be encouraged to build up experience by taking courses that are not present in POSTECH. Professors who are offering MOOC lectures can get their lectures acknowledged as off line lectures and will be given incentives and support if needed.
