Times Higher Education (THE) announced that POSTECH is the 4th among the World’s Best Small Universities. At the first time of this assessment, California Institute of Technology was ranked first, Ecole Normale Superieure second, Ecole Polytechnique in France third, and POSTECH forth.
In spite of the 30-year history of POSTECH, POSTECH has shown its ability well, and is ranked similarly with other famous universities because of its small size and high quality of elite professors, researchers, students, and equipment. Considering POSTECH ranked first in THE 100 Under 50 for three years, POSTECH has established itself as a world-class university.
President Kim said that POSTECH became a David  university through its efforts to focus on influential research and high-quality education since its foundation. He also said that as POSTECH is recognized as a world-class university,the university will strive to be true to and develop upon its founding principles for the future.
