On Nov. 27, the 2015 symposium of URP (Undergraduate Research scholarship Program) was held in the Hogil Kim Memorial Hall. URP is a program for undergraduate students to research their projects with adviser professors’ guidance. From this program, many research achievements from undergraduates have received awards and been published in journals.
In 2015, 34 teams were selected and conducted their research during 5 months, Jun. 9  – Nov. 9. In this symposium, Kim Hoon (PHYS 13) and Yang Hee Chan (ME 11) won the 1st prize in the natural science and engineering field, respectively. Kim Hoon’s project was ‘Direct Observation of Local Conductance Map in VO2 film and Scanning Point Contact Spectroscopy Development’, and Yang Hee Chan’s project was ‘Developing and Analyzing Liquid lens by using an EHD flow’. Eight teams were selected for the 2nd prize.
All research posters were on display in the Atlas Hall of Student Union building from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.
