The team of professor Jun Suk Rho (ME) received the second prize in the Higher Education Grant Program 2015 hosted by Edmund Optics in USA. The team developed a super resolution lens and microscope that allow imaging in real time, using visible light. It is expected to be useful in observing living bodies like viruses and proteins.
Meanwhile, Sohn Seok Su (MSE Ph.D.) received the first prize in the First Ferrous Technology Solution and Idea contest held by The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials. He presented a way to maximize strength and ductility economically for the topic ‘Development of Ferrite+Austenite 2 phases light steel using TRIP and TWIP’.
