Established in 1982, the Ergonomics Society of Korea is a national society that handles user interface, ergonomics, human sensibility ergonomics, work safety, and so on. It opened a regular general meeting on Oct. 15, and elected Professor Sung Ho Han (IME) as its 18th president. Prof. Han is an expert in areas such as mobile systems, PC user-friendliness, and driving environments, which are all indispensable for embodying a convenient living environment. As the next president, he plans to focus on the globalization of society and conduct research based on convergence and integration with other majors for the next 2 years of his incumbency.
