On Jul. 17, research team of Professor Park, Tae Ho (CE) successfully synthesized polymers of high sufficiency that can replace low molecular spiro material that is used in constructing perovskite solar cells.
The perovskite solar cells using the new high polymer material shows solar energy sufficiency of 14.1%, which is an unprecedented level throughout the academia history.
The research outcome has been pronounced through issue 14 of Advanced Energy Materials, an authoritative material science magazine, published on Jul. 22.
“Our research outcome will be the groundwork for commercializing futuristic solar cells of high-sufficiency and pliable electronic devices”, said Prof. Park.
