Prof. Chang, Taihyun (CHEM) received an International Award at the 64th SPSJ Annual Meeting held on May 27 - 29, at Sapporo Convention Center, organized by The Society of Polymer Conference, Japan (SPSJ).
SPSJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of polymer science and technology in the world. Since 1984, SPSJ has held International Polymer conference (IPC) every two or three years under the aim of providing the world polymer community opportunities to exchange their ideas about the newest topics in the field of polymer science. Also, since 1994, SPSJ has annually awarded scientists with great contributions to the field of polymer science with an International Award. By taking advantage of a method called High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HLPC), Prof. Chang introduced sophisticated separation and analysis of polymers, which was impossible using conventional methods.
This had a great ripple effect in the pertaining fields, solving various conundrums in polymer science.
