Under the Future IT Innovation Laboratory’s and the Department of Creative IT Engineering’s superintendence, POSTECH held the International Workshop on Bioengineering Innovations (IWBI) 2015; Imaging, Devices, Agents, and Applications on Feb. 23 - 24. In the workshop, professors of Washington University, Lihong Wang and Gene K. Beare, Bae Gyung Dae, a president of Radiology Dept. of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Kim Chul Hong (CiTE), and other distinguished guests in the field of bioengineering shared their research and discussed bioengineering.
The researchers presented current challenges related to image and sensing technology, biology and medical science. They also presented applications of chemistry in biology and medical science and flexible and wearable biomedicine equipment. POSTECH expects that this workshop will promote the sustainable development of bioengineering and help students understand its relevance domestically and internationally.
