From Jan. 6-15, the 6th Power Engineering School was held by the Global Top EPC Training Center of Korea Electric Power Corporation Engineering & Construction Company (KEPCO E&C) in Yong-in City of Gyeong-gi Province. The camp has been held every vacation since 2010, and for this camp, 65 undergraduate students from engineering department of 33 universities, participated. Sang-bin Jang (ME 12) and Jae-yeon Jeong (ME 13) participated in the camp, selected among Postechian applicants.
From 9A.M. to 9P.M. on Jan.06-10, the lectures about the operation of a power plant, instrumentation and control system, energy, etc. were held for camp participants. On the 10th, participants were tested to identify the top 10 students, who will shortlisted to receive a scholarship for one or two semesters from KEPCO E&C. From Jan. 11- 15, particpiants visited a thermoelectric power plant and a nuclear power plant.
KEPCO E&C has a goal to be among the global top 5 power EPC leaders and tries to shape university students into creative future engineers.
