On Nov. 15, the POSTECH undergraduate tennis club, PASSING, held Hyun-Eun Cup Open Tennis Tournament. This tournament gives a chance for undergraduate and graduate students from all over Korea to compete with each other. This year, the majority of students came from POSTECH, Handong Global University, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). A total of 18 male students participated in the boys’ singles, 10 teams participated for doubles, and 7 female students participated in the girls’ singles. The first place for each category went to Cheol Min Lee (Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering UNIST), Cheol Min Lee (Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering UNIST) & Park JunSik (Electrical Engineering UNIST), and Yu Sun Chung (LIFE 12). The second place for each category went to Seong Ho Hwang (Electrical Engineering UNIST), Seung-Phill Jung (MSE M.S.-Ph.D. Integrated candidate) & Kang Se Hong (Undeclared 14), and Yoon Jeongha (Energy and Chemical Engineering UNIST). The first prize was 150,000 KRW and a trophy for boys’ singles and doubles. The second prize was 50,000 KRW. The first prize and second prize for girls’ singles were 100,000 KRW and a trophy, and 30,000 KRW.
