On Oct. 3-5, the brains from two countries, Korea and the Netherlands, gathered together to join the Game Jam Netherland-KOREA 2014, held at POSTECH. This was the second time that the competition was held. The Game Jam is to promote “SporTainment” through gamification in the fields of health care and sports. This year the Universiteit Utrecht, a university globally renowned for its game development, and POSTECH’s Department of Creative IT Engineering came up with the theme “Game for Change!” The idea is that while playing a game, a person becomes healthy. This year, the winning team was team GHOST (Go Home and Sport Together), for developing the “Space Runner”. The team built a game that had a more dynamic characteristic than that of Nintendo Wii, and X-box 360, while also incorporating the cultural aspects of Korea. Team GHOST consisted of students from POSTECH, Handong Global University, SNU, and Gachon University.
