The International Conference on Biofabrication 2014 (ICB 2014) was held from Sep. 28-Oct. 1 in POSCO International Center located in POSTECH. Great scholars who capture the attention of many academics gathered. One of the major fields in Biofabrication is 3D bio printing technology, which makes a profit bio molded article to reproduce organs like liver, heart, ears and cartilage. It can also be applied to clinic demonstration.
This conference focused on the latest tendency to fuse bio materials and biofabrication. It consisted of the following fields: Applications of Biofabrication, Cell Manipulation, Technologies for Biofabrication, Biomaterials/Bio-matrices and Bioscience and Bioengineering.
Professor. Makoto Nakamura (University of Toyama in Japan), Andre Levchenko (Yale University in US), and Alexander Seifalian (University of London in UK) delivered the keynote address. In addition to these renowned scholars, young researchers leading each field in US, UK, Netherland, China and Japan also participated.
