Last February, the theses of four POSTECH graduate students from the Department of Electrical Engineering were presented in IEEE ISSCC (International Solid-State Circuits Conference), the most prestigious conference in the field of semiconductor design. Because those who present their theses in this conference are mostly people from global industries such as IBM, Intel, and Samsung Electronics, the act of presenting one’s thesis itself is a very noble event, especially since each thesis is judged very strictly.
In this conference, Ji-Yong Um (EE Ph.D.) presented a thesis in the field of biomedical system, and Hyunsoo Ha (EE M.S.- Ph.D. candidate) gave a presentation on sensor-MEMS-display. Dong Hoon Baek (EE M.S. candidate) and Seungho Han (EE M.S.- Ph.D. candidate) made a speech in the field of ultra speed wireline session. The three professors who acted as mentors to these four students are Prof. Hong-June Park (EE), Prof. Jae-Yoon Sim (EE), and Prof. Byungsub Kim (EE).
