Professor Hyoung Seop Kim (MSE) was awarded the Korean Society for Technology of Pla-sticity Academic Award by the Kor- ean Society for Te-chnology of Plasticity (KSTP) and ’MMI-Springer’ by the Korean Institute of Metals and Materials (KIM). The former award is given to a scholar who has a great achievement in the development of the Technology of Plasticity. The latter award ‘MMI-Springer’ began this year. It is given to an author who announced the superior thesis in Metals and Materials International, a Springer published SCI journal. Prof. Sung Hak Lee (MSE) also received the MMI-Springer award. In addition, Prof. Tae-Woo Lee (MSE) received the‘EML-Springer’(Electronic Materials Letters) by the same publisher.
Recently in Electronic Materials and Nanotechnology for Green Environ- ment (ENGE), SeungjaeO (MSE Ph.D. candidate, advisor Prof. Jong Kyu Kim) announced a poster journal “Enhanced phosphor conversion efficiency of GaN-based white light-emitting diodes having dichroic filtering contacts”, and was awarded the first prize among 150 journals.
