POSTECH was proved not only to be an outstanding university in terms of global rankings, but also to be a school with pleased students. POSTECH was ranked second in the survey on students’ satisfaction with their university by Korea Joongang Daily and the full service research organization, Research & Research (R&R). The research was carried out from Mar. 20 to Apr. 11 by interviewing 100 students of each university ranked in top 30 in last year’s rankings.
POSTECH got high scores in most of the 11 parts of the evaluation. Parts in which POSTECH ranks well are satisfaction with faculty (2nd), satisfaction with curriculum (3rd), satisfaction with tuition (3rd), satisfaction with scholarship and welfare (2nd), satisfaction with lecture room (1st), satisfaction with library (2nd), satisfaction with amenities (4th), satisfaction with informatization (ex. internet network including Wi-Fi) (3rd), satisfaction with image and advertising (ex. vision, potential for development, culture, social reputation) (4th), and satisfaction with educational administration service (2nd). Unfortunately, the rank of satisfaction with employment assistance was not among the top 10.
Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) took first place with the high satisfaction with scholarship and employment assistance.  SungKyunKwan University (SKKU) was ranked third, earning a high score in image and informatization. KAIST, which received a high score in faculty and curriculum, was ranked the fourth.
Educating and developing its students may be the key to the university’s competitiveness. This research has ascertained that POSTECH has established a true cradle for global leaders.
