Professor Euiho Suh (IME) was appointed as an advisor of Thomson Reuters, a group that has global influence on media, consulting, scientific and technical information, and publication.
The advisory board was set up this year to help develop strategic policy for major business, such as international institute evaluation and analysis of research results implemented by Thomson Reuters. Out of the advisory board including 25 worldwide experts in research policy and evaluation, Prof. Suh was selected as the sole Korean advisor.
Prof. Suh said, “Until now I walked as advisor of The Times Higher Education World University Ranking, and that was mainly about ranking. Since Thomson Reuters not only ranks but also evaluates university and research comprehensively, being selected as an advisor is a good chance to do my best for accurate evaluation of Universities of Korea, including especially POSTECH.”
Prof. Suh, who has a Ph.D. in business administration from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has worked in POSTECH as a professor of IME, has international fame as an expert on university and institute evaluation.
