Sixteen Cadets majored in Computer Information and Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering of Korea Air Force Academy (KAFA), a Republic of Korea Air Force institution for the undergraduate education and military training of officers, visited POSTECH to take leadership education from Mar. 25 to 28. They sat in on a Circuit Theory class and toured the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) and POSCO. They also took some time to get acquainted with Postechians.
POSTECH has trained cadets for leadership education and KAFA has been taught “Group Activity” that is one of Activity Based general education Curriculum (ABC) courses for freshmen of POSTECH since 2011. POSTECH Leadership Center planned this program and carried it out with assistance from the Council of Departmental student representative.
Ko Kyung-min, one of cadets, emphasized, “it was a great opportunity to learn leadership and to do away with stereotypes about Postechians as a grinder. However, we wish we had had more time to interact with Postechians.”
