The orientation for freshmen was held from Feb.16 to Feb.22, helping new Postechians to adapt to their college lives. This orientation is one of the largest annual events in POSTECH for which a great number of undergraduate students devote their precious winter vacation to prepare.
The orientation was mainly composed of professors’ lectures on campus life, sexual harassment and study habits, club booths, volunteer services, mission tours and introduction of departments and various student groups. The last night of the orientation was, as usual, the Lost Memories, which was created to promote good fellowship between seniors and juniors.
Jae-ryeong Choi (ME 13) said, “I felt very thankful to those seniors who spent their money and time to help me with my first step in POSTECH. Also, several games were very interesting so I could enjoy the orientation. However, tight scheduled lectures and not enough free time to rest did make me tired.”
