Shining Works of Postechians in HumanTech Paper Award

Great works of POSTECH students shined in the 19th HumanTech Paper Award. HumanTech Paper Award was established by SAMSUNG in 1994 to offer young scientists with a chance to develop their creativity and expressiveness through a research paper and also discover potential   scientists earlier. Not only graduate students, but also undergraduate and high school students can participate in this award, meeting original purposes of it.
This year, total of 1977 papers from 142 different schools competed, and only 119 of them (including high school part) were chosen. From POSTECH, Yongjin Kim (CSE Ph.D. candidate, advisor Prof. Seungyong Lee) and SeongJin Cho (ME Ph.D. candidate, advisor Prof. Geunbae Lim) won gold medals, and YoonJae Seo (EEE Ph.D.), Jin-Hyung Shim (ME M.S.-Ph.D. integrated), Sung-sil Lee (IBIO M.S.-Ph.D. integrated) and Gye-hyun Kim (CSE M.S.-Ph.D. integrated) won silver medals. Other than those above, there are also six bronze medals and four participation prizes.
The awards ceremony was held on Feb. 6 in SAMSUNG office building.
