The letter jacket craze. As Koreans call it the “baseball jacket”, letter jackets are becoming the it item for college students. High schoolers dream of wearing letter jackets with their affiliated club and class letters sewed on them. Not only because it’s just so warm, but it also represents the school you attend. It reflects the students’ desire to express their sense of belonging in a certain group.

Finding the balance between saving energy and keeping a pleasant research environment. Korea is currently undergoing a nationwide campaign to save electricity by keeping the indoor temperature as low as 20 degrees Celsius. Because POSTECH’s electricity usage exceeds the average, the administration limits the use of extra heating devices other than the central heating system during the peak time, twice a day. Indeed it is for a good cause, but the administration should consider how cold the research conditions are once more.
